Biographies

Antony Brannick - Music Director 

Although brought up in Shropshire, Antony was born in Yorkshire.  Music featured from an early age.  Antony began piano lessons at the age of 7 achieving distinction in grade 8 at the age of 14.  He sang with the church choir as a boy treble.  Antony went to Atlantic College, an international school at the age of 16 and sang with the college choir on tours to Europe.

At Cambridge University he read Law and sang with the University choir.  In Lincoln Antony sang with the Minster Consort and Lincoln Chorale.  Antony moved to Northampton and there he sang with the Northampton Bach Choir and Chamber Choir Swarbricke Singers.

On moving to Todmorden in 1995, Antony joined Todmorden Choral Society, here he became Music Director in 2000.

In Antony's 'spare time' he is a partner with Solicitors, Molesworths Bright Clegg in Rochdale.  Antony is married and has two children.

 

Daniel Bath - Accompanist/Conductor

Daniel started his choral career singing with Manchester Boys’ Choir. In his teenage years, he worked as a jazz pianist in pub gigs around South Manchester. Daniel studied music at Clare College, Cambridge, where he gave solo piano recitals and sang with several small choirs, performing Gregorian, Byzantine and Armenian chant.

Daniel performs as a jazz and classical pianist, accompanist, arranger and conductor and is a choral director for Calderdale Schools’ Music Service.

Daniel composes, plays piano and sings in guitarist, Robin Hill’s quartet, Eklectica. As well as instrumental pieces and solo songs, he has composed many shorter choral works, some of which have been performed by Salford Cathedral Choir and Todmorden Choral Society. 2002 has seen the first performance of his song cycle, “Only My Words Can Dance”, commissioned by Hebden Bridge Arts Festival.

Daniel moved to Todmorden in 1997, where he now lives with his
wife and four children.
